Pilates Classes and Clinical Pilates Perth
What is Clinical Pilates?
Clinical Pilates is a series of specific exercise progressions based on Joesph Pilates original work combined with evidenced based practice. Each client undertakes a comprehensive assessment prior to starting Clinical Pilates to enable the physiotherapist to evaluate the client’s abilities, goals and current health status.
Combining the latest medical and physiotherapy knowledge with the Clinical Pilates repertoire allows each client to achieve their goals safely and efficiently. Clinical Pilates is great for rehabilitation as well as elite fitness training.
Clinical Pilates is a form of exercise designed to help improve posture, balance, strength, flexibility and muscle tone. Clinical Pilates exercises create a correct foundation (pelvic floor and lower abdominal muscles – usually termed core strength) for larger muscles to work more efficiently and may help take pressure off stressed joints and muscles. Clinical Pilates incorporates using pieces of equipment including exercise balls and resistance bands, reformers, and trapeze tables.
